Our club had a great group of new beekeepers attend bee school through Carroll County Adult Ed this winter. It was recommended they do a "dry run" getting their suits on, smoker going, tool caddy ready, and go through the motions in detail to check any spacial considerations, comfort level with opening and closing up a beehive, etc. 18 took the course, some for land management tips for pollinators, some with future plans to have bees, some for fun, some repeat students, and 7 as new beekeepers installing bees for the first time this spring. I've encouraged them to ask questions on the forum as the season progresses.
